The University of the Seldom One

The Dalai Lama in Auroville, 1993, putting in the foundation stone for the construction of the Tibetan Pavilion there. In a speech afterwards, he said, “You can be a believer or an unbeliever…, but there is no choice between being a compassionate or non-compassionate person.” Photo courtesy of The Auroville Adventure
Did you know an Aurovillian won’t read this,
no matter what I do?
These are tough shares.
Talk about hang in the water
all in yoga.
My cousin slapped my mother.
It’s hard to believe
such anxiety.
Let me muscle you at,
heart poundin’ in my ears.

Let me say that again.
Oh boy, you wouldn’t believe it.
These are in heartbeats that you don’t know to measure
the light of the sun.
I wish I could come down to a heart in my living room
the Shambhala success magic.
I cannot spray this in numbers.
The heart central has to be the case.
It’s dog eat dog otherwise.

Where do I put this compartment?
In everything I do and breathe.
It can’t be left out.
You regard everyone
as potential shares.
You can’t stop evil among you
with the ball and chain.
You can’t just keep it from happening
with everybody’s suspicions.

You have to rise to the occasion
and also consider the bad man.
What does he need to do to change?
Can he do that among you?
Yeah, people
just want him gone.

There’s somethin’ I can’t get across over here.
If you wanna create Shambhala,
you have to envision his place among you
healed and changed.
Shambhala is the perfection of humanity
where Auroville is.
You have to rise above yourselves and do that.

You will not even listen to the change.
You have closed your hearts and ears
to a peaceful man among you
who is poeting this change.
How can it leave out the community,
the bedrock of the change?

You know it would speak to it
drum rose people.
It would have the imprint of the divine
sounding poetry’s worth.
Terrible is it?

I come from another land.
I do not meet the world it’s a thing out there and I’m a thing in here. /
Those lines have been drawn,
and they are wiggly now.
I meet the world inside myself.
In the substance of my vision something is wrong.
The world is not a normal train ride,
and my thoughts don’t take me there.
I see the substance of vision
it’s all acres of That,
the substance of the show.
You wanna know the gist of it?
It comes to oneness.

Now bake my bread I’m normal,
nothing special to look at,
just another person to be around.
Now test my feet I’m normal.
I get angry laugh and cry.
I can give you an argument.
My difference is my hands on you.
I’m lookin’ at the One
starin’ back at me.

This is so real to my eyes
my hands collaborate this.
I am in your field of vision,
and my that hurts,
if I even make you feel bad.
I don’t wanna do that,
and this is strong stuff
to prevent me.

Are you an alien on that?
Have you reached the divine in vision?
Do you know how to heal the sick,
and they are not sick in body they are sick in hands,
and their actions hurt the world,
rob the community?
How many times we said
we needed that,
heal the community?

This is a frog suit.
I’m lifted out of the water until I cry.
I mean I have to come up and record lines.
Do you get the picture
back and forth?
I’m hearin’ these lines in inner vision
I’ve developed over a lifetime.
You hear the sauce now
all Sri Aurobindo’d,
the Mother’s guidance please.

Here’s the thing.
It changes consciousness.
The world grabs you in this.
You see signs everywhere.
You’re walkin’ hand in hand with the divine,
but that’s not the beauty of it.
It’s soundin’ bodies
way out in front of you
the substance of their mystery
crayola figures of That,
and it dawns on you
it’s peeling you through everything,
and will you get a load of that?
The invisible ties connects us.
Wow, I’ve just shored everything.

A Picture to Heal My Headquarters

You Don’t Have Any Choice

That kid sees daddy
God’s will.
That kid never sees daddy again.
His parents are evil saying that.
Evil and horny,
they market this child for themselves.
This is bad business.
They stomp on him every day.
They can’t help themselves.
It’s gleeful.
They like making this boy suffer.
The power surrounds them.
They feel like Gods in his presence.
They get off on his pain.
They know he loves daddy,
and they punish him for it,
every single day.

They are beside themselves with hate—
their child wants to be with daddy,
and they know that.
The terror they put through him
to force him to keep his mouth shut,
or to force him to lie,
is what you do to your child when you’re monsters.
He is so scared of them
he has thoughts they will kill him,
smother him in his sleep
I’ve already told you in another poem.
Can you imagine doing that to your child,
being the terror of his life?

They revel in this,
will not let him up,
and the power they have over God,
it’s where they find themselves stupid.
God does not honor them
or what they do.
How God allows evil
to take us for a ride,
is everywhere apparent.
You saw how long the Nazis rule,
how long Islamic State cut people to pieces.
Then God comes in,
and evil forces are destroyed,
like the Earth itself does it.
You see it happen every day.
Evil gets reckoned with.

Evil gets changed,
can we show you the gist of this story?
Nithish is not here to suffer
so his parents can be punished for it.
They will know what they did,
and their love for their child will show them,
what has been there a measure on the situation,
keeping the beatings to a minimum,
keeping the abuse from killing him.
You know he thought of suicide.
What this boy has done
is shown what child abuse is
when it’s not recognized as abuse,
here in India where you can beat children
and totally and absolutely control their lives,
bend them to your will,
even expect they worship you,
and even adulthood
does not find freedom.

Nithish has gone through this
so you can see this.
They’re not expecting art.
They weren’t expecting mine.
His parents aroused a poet
to defend his boy,
to help his boy,
to save his boy,
the likes of which you’ve never seen, have you?
A power of poetry
that gives God reign,
that let’s Him do His business,
you hear it now.

But we find another poet here,
tender in years,
his parents have tried to murder
because they associate it with me.
I opened up poet in him,
and you’ve heard him sing.
He has the future in his hands,
a poet of prophecy,
and he prophesied this abuse
and his waylay in it.
Read his poetry
this can’t be denied.

Can we come to terms with Nithish?
His future poetry writes
a verse that will finally free children
from being someone’s property,
from having the status of slaves,
not to buy and sell and trade,
but to make them obey
with no say in the matter,
and to make them do their parents’ will
regardless of the cost to the child,
to make it as though the child was born for them,
for the parents’ pleasure,
for the parents’ rule,
to obliterate the fact that a soul came down
on this adventure Earth
to work out its purposes in time.
This slavery we need to see,
and these slaves we need to free.

To abruptly stop his childhood in the slam shut of school,
when he has a learning disability they do not address,
they know but will not admit,
will scar him for the rest of his life.
It’s their thang with him,
and they love it there.
You’re meant to be crisscrossed.
You’ve stolen the boy’s life,
but you cannot see you’re wrong for the trees,
the stupid people who back you up,
the negligent police,
the blatantly ignorant Child Welfare Committee,
and a school that is so backward in education
they let parents abuse their child
and don’t even know what a learning disability is.
They are ridiculously called New Modern
Vidhya Mandir Higher Secondary School,
and they’re not going to stop me
from showing them to the public when all this is over.
They need held accountable for this.
I will see to that.

Interstellar from national backgrounds,
I will show where Earth is wrong in school,
school responsible for the shape we’re in,
and school we need to change.
Academics take a backseat to being human
you colonial legacies
fillin’ the Industrial Revolution’s need.
Antiquated,
outdated,
and on steroids,
it’s destroying our world.
Beavis and Butt-Head
are to help us through kids
to their appointment in time,
to their children now adults later,
to the sting of childhood
making us examine ourselves
in roles as parents and teachers
crammin’ adulthood down their throat,
and they are yet but children.
You very ignorant
and narrow-minded,
corncob stuck up your ass,
uptight bunch of people,
did you hear that?

Good, I’m weighin’ on yah now.
Just wait till that boy regains his pen
you stop shoving school down his throat

and let his poet speak,
his purpose on this God’s green earth
you won’t allow cause you’re dim in the head
and give his parents absolute rights.
Just wait till he gets that pen again.
Just wait.
Nithish will give us the right ideas
to parent children,
and that is his future fate.
That poet is among us now
silenced,
gagged.
You think so?
Let’s wait and see.

To Heal Holocaust

Watched this film, and then the second poem came, the long one, an hour after, and it came all night.

The Banality of Evil,
We’re Watchin’ a Different Movie

This is grand cinema.
You’re left wonderin’ over its price.
Are you opened to that puppy?
Just to the pain it caused.
Just to its wherewith with evil.
We need more from cinema,
powerfully done.
I’m the long ride.
I’ll get you there
on sudden bleeds:
you will identify with the snake,
or your heart pounding no.
I heal awhile.
Listen to me.

To Heal Holocaust
Heal God.
Boy God has done some bad shit,
if we count Him responsible for everything,
if we say He’s the doer here.
How do we get round this table?
And now the poem starts.
Let’s write it.

You must know into the most horrible places.
I’ve climbed down there
and got burned.
I can identify with the snake.
I’ve opened Holocaust doors
by beer-bottlin’ a boy.
He cried
and then got tough.
I hit him again and again
with that beer yard,
two or three boys.

It didn’t make me throw up.
I took pleasure from their pain.
The control I had,
I was in their control room and I knew it.
Their weakness turned me on,
their vulnerability.
I liked it.

This is a Holocaust memorial.
It’s not me writin’ on myself.
I showin’ where it came from,
that and a knife blade.
These smites
transform into big smites,
transform into Holocaust.
I'm helpin' you some.
I’m going ludicrous.
I’m just stupid sayin’ this.

Let’s change poems.
What do you feel when you hurt people,
your power over them?
No you feel your delight
that it’s not you.
We’re explorin’ some.
It’s a probe.
Not every formula has got this written on it,
but somethin’ happened to you,
when you could not fight back,
too little to do anything about it.
It scarred you.
Now you’re investigatin’ that reality,
and it’s your hands cause pain,
your thrust of life.

This is not healin’ you’re doin’.
You just keep doin’ it,
a wack in reality that repeats itself,
with your hands.
What do you do to stop?
I can’t get yah there.
It’s too wide open.
Jeffery Dahmer pulled the plug.
Then he started killin’ again.
You didn’t know he suffered.
You didn’t know
he didn’t turn that down,
his longness in the inner cycle.
Where do we go for change?
Wrapped up in an investigation of yourself,
you open the inner doors.

Really watch yourself in dream.
The plug will come up.
You’ll eventually pull it
the right way.
You just keep erasin’ mood,
that spell that comes over yah
when you’re around water,
when you’re at that place you can do it.
This is your fault line,
and it’s inner sprung.

You’ve got to get ahold of your behavior,
on the inside where it starts.
This ain’t hard/this is not easy.
[two above phrases heard spoken simultaneously]
You’ll see how it’s done
in your visual immune system.
Message,
it will message you.
It gives a little chance
for you to aim behavior rightly.

You’ve got to get ahold of the bull.
You’ve got to grab it by the horns.
I took years here,
in Holocaust denial.
It’s when you begin to see it it’s the hardest.
You can’t close the curtains,
even when you do it.
You can touch it
and move it around.
You’re puttin’ light down there.
This is not about feeling guilty.
This is about recognizing pain.

What is true remorse?
You feel pain buddy,
making other people suffer,
but you’re still not in the geography bowl.
Look on these two:
the ordination of love,
and the realizing of oneness.
How deep you have to go to get there,
how much time pass.

This is integral healing.
I know someone
that can’t even rise a fantasy.
The light got down there.
You feel the vulnerability of the other,
and you just want to hold them in your arms safe.
You can believe you did that.
You can see yourself doin’ it,
not playin’ it in your mind,
I mean it had sergeant over you before,
but you’re at peace with it,
and you put it out of your room.

We have no laws for this.
We’re not ready to find it.
There are too many of us
to make it safe.
It’s good for the environment.
I wasn’t so bad
I chained people.
I was a love roll.
I know you don’t understand this.
The assurities of Adolf Hitler,
that was absurd,
and afterwards so complex.
It was positively brilliant.
Wow, you said brilliant.
We would eat lunch there.
I’m not bragging it.
I’m not starring it.
Nobody has a secret weapon
to find change
in these dark waters.

I’m putting a healing light to it,
using my own brand.
You don’t know the fashion of evil.
You think it comes from us.
Its dark nature rises
from the Abyss.
There are creatures there
on a beanpole,
with tremendous might,
that invade our dreams
and conscious minds,
and tell our hearts to do things.
They are compulsion’s will,
and they are smarter than us.
Oh my God they’re there,
right in our room,
pushing us to fall.

What do you do with that?
Where do you put it?
They don’t give up,
and we have to put up with them,
on our world endeavor.
That’s not fair.
It’s not even funny.
It’s a stark reality
we have to live with.
So when you’re coming out of darkness,
you’re confronting these,
the Snake in your room.

Oh my God they are blind,
the ones who hate you
for the evil you have done.
They’re just self-righteous idiots,
and they will see when this is done,
when their life’s over,
the complexities of fate,
the manage devils in your room,
the horrible nature of reality
in its bottom lair.

We have to contend with this
to overcome fate.
We cannot escape it.
I’ve mentioned the ballgame,
what we’re really here for,
to change our nature
into God dwellers,
to spiritualize, divinize, Nature.
I’ve pulled the rank card,
and you are blind to this.
It’s too big.
It’s the science of changing your nature,
and your own process will see
that glory immune system,
the one I talk in visions and dreams,
the one I talk now.
It holds your hand here,
and now we are complete:
God heals.

What the Mother Said

All photos by the author
Yawn as you snap them Gods.
They wouldn’t know what to do with Themselves
free.
We see Them bound to our lives
in cosmic grooves of fate.
They are larger than time.
They can’t get out of this.
We are prisoners in Their room.
They study us.
They can’t seem to get us right.
We’re a whirlwind
in a thunderstorm,
and They are stillness and delight,
and They control themselves with might.
The clash of Speakers we hear overhead,
They’re around about us now.

We are cosmic poles
in Their existence.
Hear Them call our name.
Hear Them be there for us
to change our natures into man.
If you don’t think you’re an animal look back now,
where you meet nature in a click
that eats up all of nature’s stores,
and then you go to war.
You’re a forest dweller
in the nature of your desires.
You can’t see past get up and go.
The Gods are there on our tops,
guiding us to better cages.
They do not know the freedom of the Infinite.
In a paradox of know,
They stumble upon the Infinite
and stretch it to tin cans.

The Gods they wore,
the bright and start of old.
They can’t seem to find the Infinite
all their knowledge bore.
They cut us in creeds
of certain flesh.
Religion bore that name.
The Gods have bound us
to this.
They are a soliloquy on our tops,
giving us lore.
I can’t find this
improving our lives.
They are a reason against the Snake,
but where they find you biting,
They are blind to heal you.
They just make you stop.
They don’t know the deeper reasons
of life’s coil.

They are not there you see
here on life’s base
encased in matter.
They see us from afar
up close.
They do not understand the knot and waste.
They live out Their lives in splendid heavens,
traveling toward infinity,
the kingdom of God,
all righteousness and wrath.
They sip with us awhile
foundering on compassion.
They are brave and strong
and know not the poison of the fall.
Evil is not on Their lists.
It baffles Them and us.
They chase it out of night.
They battle it with Their spears and helmets
on the patchwork of the universe.

We are Their hope and promise
to principle evil
and grab it by the horns,
a victory for starry Earth.
A seer in his wisdom
has gift the Gods to us,
else we would fall into the Void.
This is not our fate,
but we are beyond the Gods
on our journey home.
They are a regulation and a might
to keep us from starring ourselves,
to keep us from getting bigger than our lists,
to keep us from operating on ourselves
where They are concerned.
They are both a help and a hindrance.
We need Them.
No we don’t.
They help us
get hold of ourselves.
They keep us from going home.

We just changed fate and the world,
without Their interference,
where They languish on land.
We’re here.
They’re not.
Beyond space and time
we write our lists.
The Gods can’t go there,
unless they do as one of us.
That’s a starry role,
fraught with peril,
fraught with mercy.
This is an endeavor for the Gods only
if They want to go beyond Their starry heaven.
We don’t see Them do that
none time soon.
The Earth’s great spiritualization
will see Them incarnate here.
It’s a vehicle of Supermind.

The tallest bond,
this is the engine we’ve all been waiting for.
It’s bigger than the sky.
It’s our next step above,
beyond the Gods.
These are our evolutionary springs
and their destination.
We have broke the bounds of the universe
and come to universal cause.
No cosmic God can figure this.
This is a whole other ballgame.
These are universal bonds
the conditions of the universe find us in.
They prefigure us
to a certain stage.
This is starry night,
and the Gods are our guides
the conditions of the universe impose.
This is our starry prison.

A nursery rhyme is this.
We live on high,
who we are above the universe,
our next prefigured destiny.
The Gods are aware of this.
They are not our goads there.
They hinder us and move us
in Their direction.
This is a starry configuration
we are lost in.
Greater home is ours.
Can you save the Gods?
I wouldn’t even find you there.
The Gods are cosmic hierarchies
permanent in Their heavens,
and They love it here,
all-powerful Beings
with worlds to play.
We applaud Them and move on.

Can you see this?
It’s what we’re doin’ on planet Earth.
We will bring our higher selves here
to inhabit bodies on physical Earth,
our bodies,
in evolution’s slow curve.
Who we are on high
will be who we are down below,
the monumental change hidden in the size of Earth.
We will get there,
and existence will have its heaven right here.
Will you notice this in your room?
It’s starting on our tops now,
and here I am showin’ it to yah
in sudden starts.
Greatness lies wait.
Okay,
global consciousness,
and we’ve found our solution to the room,
present Supermind.

These are the high stakes.
We’re in the water now.
Who we gonna tell?
Come on kids let’s go.
We have a world to feel.
Keeps yah on your toes.
This is the most important
thing to hold onto to:
challenge the window.
We don’t beg each other’s fences.
Here everybody that’s a whole Earth.
The lesson in the window:
through a big difference
we see it all.

Bring in a new game.
How was Earth made?
It has a special core,
the universal core.
How do we evolve what do we evolve?
We can hack other Minds.
Clarity Grace is not just a name.
It’s an power,
one of a kind for Earth.
Kings are not just patriots.
They’re criminals in their own kind.
We should put some cushions under the Earth.
We just dream of a perfect life.
[the above verse Nithish’s muse, my 12-year-old grandson,
what he heard right where mine left off, ending this poem.
He’s named his new Beagle puppy Clarity Grace.
]

The universe has hit me,
and we saw it happen
the universe of Nithish,
not quite done.
You’ve gotta figure we’ve got a friend with some God,
the cosmic hierarchies Mother and Sri Aurobindo.
You’ve got to figure we’re in liaison with some God.
It’s the mailman
in a blue truck
open to Supermind
at every pole.

The Poem of the Benediction

Their love of yoga,
all that had to do with the divine.
The divine is alive and well on Planet Earth.
He sees you.
Can you hear ‘im?
Made out to be a man,
but really She’s a woman,
when you get right down to pictures of Her
in the caretaker of Her smile.

A Mother Might looks out on the world,
and we are all the better for it.
Let’s change some,
become ourselves again,
as children see the world:
it glows,
oohs and aahs;
it’s bigger than us,
and we love it.
Gimmie the beat boys and free my soul. [heard sung by Dobie Gray, “Drift Away”]
You know how it feels,
so good to be alive.
Thank you Mother.

Now I’m dancin’ on this ice.
I don’t know how to explain this.
Oh Mother,
that’s not You in Pondicherry,
but I think we lifted You up
when we adored her feet.
I call on You through her,
as our yoga sees the world,
and in perfect deity fashion,
that woman in Pondicherry helps.
She’s in my living room.
Now do we count blessings?
I am in the arms of the Mother, you know?
She fills out for me
the way to move forward.
I call on her some,
but she is not my image of God.
I mean like I do sit in her lap,
pettin’ my Rottweiler,
but I’m lookin’ at God.

I can tell you a lot about deity.
There are waves of them.
I listen to them all the time.
I mean, I hear them speak.
I’m not always at their beck and call,
and I’m choosy.
I want those Sun voices way up there.
They’re wonderful.
They have our divinity all over them.
They gauge us there,
and they point us to God,
the supreme all-encompassing universe
that existence can light,
and it’s a conscious Individual all things are.
Don’t let my words get in the way.
God is how we meet the One on its time.
I’m talking big you understand.

All this agency gets down to us,
the level of existence we’re at—
I think I just heard God.
God will talk to you in spheres.
That’s what divinity is for,
and each time we mistake the day for the sun.
Conversations with God
are conversations with some deity.
How much freedom to understand that.
It’s yoga based,
if you want to know the truth.
We want to be God’s lovers here on earth.
We want to know God here on earth.
We want to see God here on earth,
see God in everything we see,
and one day,
God will ride us
who we are in time.

I’m breakin’ in on barriers
to show you God,
and these words have failed I know
to overcome that last barrier,
to understand God real in this sentence.

Can you light the fire of God?
This is not a proverbial question.
I’m askin’ ‘cause it hurts
you if you don’t,
hurts you in the fundamental ground of reality.
You can envision no one cares.
You can’t smuggle up to reality
and say this is safe.
You don’t know how to tie your shoe,
and that’s lacin’ the world
through your fingers
a project that smiles.
You’re just all bummed out
because the wonder of it all
is insufficient
to pick you up and carry you along
when you’re so discouraged you just want to die.
And I gettin’ through?

The fire of God is lightable on our time.
It’s not a deity wear,
some figure of God
asking for your allegiance.
It will burn off all this.
It will be bigger than time.
It won’t sit in an abode and judge you.
It will with the universe hold your hand.

How do you get there?
You need God.
Oh man I can’t get this through.
People will kill you if you don’t,
or the world will fall in.
Look out,
I’m tellin’ yah how to find God.
It’s need determines present,
and I don’t know how you make those conditions,
but when you’re a pedophile they come naturally.
That’s the price of your hate:
I get God and you don’t
anywhere near I’m showin’ Him to yah.

God hates sinners,
that’s a lie.
Oh my little child,
come let’s give you a bath.
You’ve gotten muddy again.
If you let Me I’ll get you outta there.
And then ensues the relationship.
You just don’t know God.
Or do you?
Come let us love together.
High and mighty,
I don’t see you in God.

Take pictures of Sri Aurobindo.
I’ve blossomed him,
brought out his yoga to the ground floor.
You’ll just think I’m lying,
the worshippers of Sri Aurobindo.
I’m golden atlas.
It’s not Sri Aurobindo I’m seein’.
You know the Supermind’s on the Earth.
I’m tailin’ it in.

Oh my God airplanes,
now look at this one.
It’s bigger than science.
It’s a cash card.
It’s the right way to do Earth.
It’s not forced.
It doesn’t have any artificial barriers between you
and what you’re supposed to do.
It’s not a morality flag.
It brings a different formula into the equation.
How big is this?
It heals time.

I’ve got roads on.
I push reality through the basin of time.
Shut up and go to sleep—
a reader quibs in.
Alright I’ll admit it.
It’s the supramental.
It’s very intense,
but it’s the supramental
has ahold of my paper.
I’m telling you what the decision is:
they are to occur the region.
Heavy regions,
girls we gotta absolve the conflict.
You put it in right there,
make the supramental the way we handle evil.
We don’t just military our paper.

Let me let you take a short look at that.
And then I realized something:
how does an honest criminal realize their mistake?
You banish them
forever.
Agency,
now to realize the Mother and Sri Aurobindo’s,
yeah, exactly.
Ensues the conversation.
Are you gonna be prepared?
I will be honest;
I didn’t know your name
Impossible.
Let’s get one thing straight, surrender to God,
it becomes possible right now.

God is the answer God is the key,
and the beauty is it’s not abstract.
You get here to this post God is holding your hand.
You can hear Him speak.
You can feel His power.
You can bask in His love.
You can see Him in everything that touches you I do.
Can we get anymore cornered than that?
God’s got you cornered,
and you can overcome any behavior.
You can do anything.
Okay those are the big city lights.

Wow, I’ve just described to you how the world was won.
Put that credit in my court,
and let’s celebrate the world together.
I mean not smoking and not being attached to smoking either.
So this rare new style
is upon the Earth today,
and as my teachers told me,
I put it there,
I and they.
Car commander,
be the example to everyone.
You have my permission.
Individuality under the Lord, you know?

I could do it before I found these lyrics,
lost lyrics,
as you won’t find them
until that thing happens
whereby one sees a poem
and gets other people to see it.
That mystery engagement with poetry,
I’m at a loss to understand.
Better thank a look,
knock out reader.
You know, have a nice day.

Make civilian source,
make civilian ready,
I am on my way
in the literary of my smile,
in the literacy of everybody’s smile.
Now here.
Is this Heaven? [vision with this line of being in a narrow exhibition space and colorful, extraordinary photographs on the walls all around me, more colorfully extraordinary ones appearing as I’m asking this question]
Your vanity
has registered a trip.
Oh excuse the mule,
he’s a real piece of work.
But I’m still comfort in,
and I’m standin’ by at your house,
if you ever wanna change the world
you live in.

How do you want me to be?
How to dream afterwards.
Tell this to the press corps:
I’m proud of yah;
you stopped killin’ people
on death row
(Oh BBC do you hear me?
That was pressure to kill
the Parkland shooter,
who you wanted killed.
Now on with the scroll),
and got the news ready
to see the criminal as a human being
you care about even though they did somethin’.
And there that’s my piece.

Not from institution to move along:
to auto-flash cooking
that old traditional paper just reports on.
We put it in user-generated content.
Hello gatekeeper, keep up.
Now there,
I got your number,
don’t I?

Supergame,
everybody listen to Hairy.
He’s got somethin’
make us all better people.
You out to lunch?
Glad you could join us,
as you left your sin and came over to help us.
Why do you all try to help?
We care,
which means
we grow up to care,
and everybody learns the three R’s
while they’re learnin’ this—
the whole import of school,
and can you tell me why not?

Newspapers here,
I gave you a way to make yourselves better.
Read this
to the public:
let’s teach our children to care,
and we solve all human-made problems
if we care about everybody.
How simple that is to see,
how horrible
we are blind to it,
and science-based gets us there?
Here’s where science fails:
it can’t see God,
and God alone cares.
We’re done.

The root of all papers,
and I’m figurin’ time.
What would you quib here,
I don’t see the import of your paper?
And if you said that
I don’t think you care
or even write home—
a poetry blush,
I mean practice for enlightenment.
Do we all come along?
Spiritual enlightenment,
it happens one person at a time.

I didn’t end this properly.
Let’s end this properly.
Okay where does your paper take us,
so long and thanks for all the fish?
At a human
let’s all look Christmas.
I mean study love
as the foundation of society.
Would I be talking to a brick wall?

A Soul-Dialogue Between a Poet and the Leader of Islamic State

I’m sorry, but you’ll have to sign into Internet Archive to see this video.

This video was taken down from YouTube after 7 years up, which happened on October 31, 2022, and I’ve updated the post accordingly. I contested it, and they reviewed the video and removed the strike against me for violating their terms and policy, saying the violation wasn’t as severe as they thought. Their policy, along with that of all the major social media companies, keeps getting narrower in terms of what you can post. When I posted it the terms were more favorable to art depicting violence, if its intentions were to stop it.

Luckily, I posted this at that same time at Internet Archive, but they immediately made it so you have to sign in to view the video, and they later put it in their deemphasized collections, but it’s still up.

In a few years, the visible net will be controlled like television, and even private websites will be censored, but first it will be the big social media companies that will do it, are doing that now, and it will take longer to take down or control the content on privately owned websites, and so we at Harm’s End are in the process of making our own website to put up our stuff, as many of our posts call for social change, and anything that truly does that is radical and would offend somebody.

I made this video in 2015, not long after the Paris terrorist attacks Islamic State did. It was taken down from Dailymotion within 24 hours, a French social media site, the first place I posted it, and I’ve said how the Internet is becoming as constrained as TV, but I haven’t told you what few people know about social change. You can protest all you want, and you might score some concessions on the part of power, but you won’t bring real change unless you discover the most basic operating ideas that power operates under and work the change from there, at the same time presenting the ideas of truth, truth being simply what’s going on, the reality of the situation, or, I might say, the reality most in line with truth, and in this video I do. The reality of that, using ideas more true to reality to bring social change, plays out in long, slow years, is not in any way immediate, truth eventually wills out.

It’s all important also the vehicle of truth you use, and the one closest to the spirit of any situation is art, inspired art from whatever muse runs that course, here the muse of poetry, song, and, let me introduce a contemporary one, because inspiration ever adapts, the muse of video and movie making. The revolution will not be televised, but it will be featured in art. Now, I really resisted including terrible violence, gore, knowing my video would get banned, art or not, but my muse was insistent on including the worst that Islamic State put out, telling on itself I might add. I followed my inspiration, but I must tell you, and keep telling you, sadly, that inspired art that shows us in the bloody, gory, thick of things is increasingly being censored from the net. Now after so many years, and most people forgetting what ISIS looks like and did, I can see the wisdom of my muse insisting on the gore, but tell me people of the day, all ye people of any faith, can you? And let me ask you: how can we change evil in the world to good if we can’t even see it? And let me inform you: evil can only be defeated for good in its own blood-stained, gory den. Now, do I have your attention?
