Where Is the Kid’s Everyone?

You don’t write your name because you like it.
You write your name because your name.
He slowly started talking.
He does it, constitutes show up,
and then he just grab bags them.
They’re comin’.
This is principle player.
You’re talkin’ about everything.
Expect a long, drawn out pause before they come.
This is huge.
Will I get kicked off the team?
Almost but you bring us there,
to the startling conclusion of love,
and continue.

A change in life’s habits,
in life’s valleys,
we have a little stand it moving in.
Let’s eliminate fish.
This is a full blown boy.
He’s sharin’ a room with me,
and we share a bed together,
at least once a week,
and we go bathe together.
This since he was three.
He’ll be 11 next month.

We’ve grown up together.
I’ve learned how to handle children
in my bedroom,
so they don’t freeze,
and I’ve grown up right alongside him.
I know he’s worthy of the attention
God gives.

The divine his here,
the principle keeper in the room.
You think I’m joking?
Hear all this poetry.
If that’s not proof enough,
then read it.
You hear him here while I write it?
I mean the little boy.
We go round and round about the sound down when I write,
or he’s in my arms as I write,
writing softly,
except when I’m in bed riding sleep,
alone with my poetry myself
not bothered by boy.
He’s the sourcebook for the poetry,
for years.
This is a challenge record,
and I’ve lived up to the challenge,
and I’ll live up to it again tomorrow night too.

We share life together,
and we’re in that form of union
where two halves make a whole.
It’s led to so much creativity.
I am the background of his thoughts.
He’s the background of my letters to the world.
We spur together
world union.
This is high noon.

He is not one dimensional.
He can hold the world
on his tongue.
He can see enlightenment coming next.
He knows he’s the son of God,
and his dream explains the symbol.
Hagrid came to him in a dream and told him.
Told our Rottweiler Luna too
they were sons of God.
Harry Potter would be proud/shamed. [words spoken simultaneously]
No one has ever read those books.
No one’s ever understood those books.
Can we get at divine kids growing up?

How far is your divinity?
Nitish is learnin’ he’s got one,
he’s a divine being
in the making.
The dog Luna,
she puts on her human first,
which she did in the dream.
That’s her divinity.

Can I tell you stories
of what this boy and I mean together?
He’s here for a quickening
to get at that divine element in each of us.
I’m here to become normal.
I will perhaps
become a human being
that realizes spiritual enlightenment,
Wait and see.

What’s you do,
be the hero
with what you’ve confounded human?
I’m not talkin’ blister kids.
I take him for a ride
on the sunshine in his life.
I am so open with him
I give him my name.
I’m giving him my dream.
It’s a terrible dream.
All this poetry writing stuff
arrives to us from dreams.
It’s a dream maker’s query,
and it just won’t leave you alone.
You suffer for it.
You have to live up to its value.
It’s got God on it.
You can’t fool God.

That boy has some high shoes
he’s gotta grow into.
I’m teaching him muse,
showin’ him the ways of poetry,
and that begins at first with thought.
You hold the world a poet,
look deeply into symbol everything.
Representative,
wow, we go to town on that one.

A little boy is blind you say.
Now can you see the world?
It’s so beautiful
I just guess.
Oftentimes I’m lookin’,
and somethin’ in the world smiles
somethin’ more than the world at me.
I’m in the shadow of mystery because I’m in a kid’s glow.
The whole world speaks to me.
It’s around me all the time
I mean somehin’.
I spur with this.
I smile back at God with this.
Thank you rainbow.
Thank you thunderstorm.

I’m just a guest at a party
seein’ the world.
I have these deep feelins inside.
I can’t make them room.
I don’t know what they’re there for,
but they give me such a buzz.
I know why a dog barks.
It’s his smile
on the rest of things
no dog can see,
and my God I love to shout
that same mystery.
Kid bliss you call it.
You just don’t know.

Poor little,
stupid child:
you don’t think I know what you think of me?
I’m with a man you know.
He is my best man,
and I am his best man.
I’ll give you that number.
The wedding is us walking together
to the engineer of life.
What you doing,
sayin’ I don’t belong with him?
You got problems with reality?

Soon I’ll be old enough to drive
him to a destination.
Until we become a popular notion,
you would get in our way if you could.
I think this is paradise.
It’s so lovely inside.
You just hear about it and say “Oh no.”
Entertainment,
he’s the surprise
you thought you’d missed,
the window
that gave you room to breathe.
I—love—this—man.
That’s my destination,
the direction of the poet.

I’m just chicken soup,
and I rust in buckets for you?
Where were you the night I was born?
This man was there
at the hospital.
He’s the reason my parents met.
He’s been there all my life.
I surprised everybody
with his name
the first time I spoke.
I was so excited to see him.
I had baby pants then.
He's my shelter from the storm.
He’s my special friend.
He will always hold me
and wipe the world out of my eyes
when it has stung me.

I knew I had it,
enough patience with him to draw
his meaning on my page,
that little boy’s time.
The Gods have given us room.
The Gods have been there for us
when we’ve needed their handles.
It’s all in a days work
on the origins of the Gods,
on where they come from.
I am not ashamed of him.
See this ice cream and ticket place?
They got made a long time ago.
Remove the sexual abuse,
and a man and boy’s love will look like this.
It can get bigger all the time.
It can help save the world.
Are we wrong to do this?
Are we just full of each other?
You see the world in us,
don’t you?

If you’re too lazy to try yourself,
get someone to climb for you—
Leonardo da Vinci.
Oh, are we lookin’ at a pederast,
a young boy lover?
History will never answer the question.
It’s too biased against pedophiles.
I’m in deep water here.
Would Socrates condemn me?
I don’t think Alexander the Great would.
Who’s calling the shots?
Shut up.

Now that we’ve looked at an edifice of Western civilization,
let’s tear it down.
You’re jokers.
You simply cannot handle reality.
It enrages you.
They were seven days without food.
We interrupt this grocery store.
Are we close to a nuclear bomb?
We’re just showin’ yah the time bomb,
and let’s talk about the general pedophile.
He’s got this heart enemy,
against himself.
There’s no remedy.
He’s not gonna do it,
quit grabbin’ kids.

Let’s take our successful at it and give it to him.
Are we sure we’re successful?
The boy lover’s around because of you.
You are blind to sexual origins,
but it will never go out of style,
messin’ with your kid’s BB gun,
and he’s seven or eight
and can’t remember you did,
but there’s no blood and confusion.
The delusion’s on first.
The baby’s erection
is like major
guilty camera.
Your hand turned it on.

Do you want any milk?
I’ve been unpacking.
I snapped ‘im out of it.
You’re not gonna believe this.
The road handles there a long time.
I got this 10-year-old.
I started putting pressure on him.
Why did you do that?
Slightly effeminate his was,
quite possibly gay.
His ear in the refrigerator.
Good morning doctor.
Well high softy what’s you doin’?
I’m gonna determine this kid’s smile.
I’m waiting for you to tell me it was very representational
my hand on that gun
back in his early years.
We hear the non-pedophile speak.

Does he speak?
Not properly I’m a minority comin’ to you.
There are too many factors on their land,
and they’ve been told to shut up so many times.
They just deal with it.
I’m not gonna be able to do it,
say FM.
Imagination,
that’s your answer to everything.
You will imagine the worst of me.
I’m sorry,
but I don’t do that,
be a bastard to this kid.
Know what’s gone wrong.
I’ve played hide and seek
with put your milk on the camera.
Puts the milk on you.

Look at that little child—
don’t tell me anything about freedom.
You mine.
What did you want to separate from my good answer?
Your bad.
I’m not a bad boy.
You attack everything with sex.
There’s a couple of really poignant movies
we can look at you with.

Thambi,
we’re not going to rape your home
with deodorant.
We just want to know you’re not harmed.
Literally I’ll come here:
shopping window.
Which understanding do I buy?
So much space.
I’m not used to explosive articles talking back.
I’m not used to anything out of the ordinary.
I can time with you.
Just give me a second.

That’s how we build bridges.
We try.
I will sell you green.
That’s why you slipped on our paper.
You thought purple.
Smart hold
we have on one another.
It’s not to do us in.
Can you just let us breathe,
keep your armies out of this?
You want that boy to grow up unashamed of you.
You don’t want to be the violators of his life.

Almost got it,
we have a childhood together.
We’re on our way
to the room
where you keep us
in high standing.
You’re seein’ it now.
It’s our standing room.
Where is the kid’s everyone?
If you think I could answer you,
that’s what I have done.

We are children in my society:
whatever makes him safe,
as long as it doesn’t hurt his practice with life,
as long as it gives him the dignity to stand up
and say, “Leave me alone,”
as long as it’s not against the body’s love,
and that boy’s being cared for,
as long as it let’s us be ourselves
and doesn’t force us to comply
with normalcy,
as long as it’s not to suspicion
you apply the benefit of the doubt,
as long as it’s got us at heart,
our needs,
and Mr. Enforcer
is not just in control.
Remember what you said last night.
You wanted the world free.
Isn’t though,
we are?

I apologize.
I thought you was gonna be disappointed
you didn’t have to report,
you didn’t have to admit,
wrong action.
Here I’ll give this to yah:
your successor.

Everybody’s lookin’ for a divine moment.
Families they graft you to the tree
of you stay with us boy.
We’ve got to get down to our human
that brings us to divinity.
A group can do that,
if it’s not messin’ around with time.
It has a gilded purpose:
get down to that human divine.

We talk about it everywhere:
let’s get down to business, shall we?
Families just raise ships
that sail on society’s waters.
We need a larger society.
Little bitty intimate groups can do that,
research this in us
and bring it around to happen.

I belong to such a group.
So does Nitish.
We are four members human,
and we can go to six if you count dogs.
One’s on the other side.
We go all the way to society together,
on a podcast share our dreams.

The boy’s not the only thing behind me.
This group is my backbone.
One day it will be the larger ship
we sail society on,
these little groups soul arranged.
I don’t think you can put them together individually.
They form on their own,
as soul calls them,
all around time.
You know you have one
when you dream together
this ship is going somewhere.

It’s all about the inner process.
It’s an inner look
to see if it’s there.
It’s a sadhana circle/dream group.
The boy and me,
our relationship is in the context of that.
It’s chosen in awesomeness.
We shop in soul values.
You’ll know it when you see it:
its fruits,
its way with time.

I’m sorry I’ve explained beyond your poem.
I’m trying to get at being human,
and that’s the thing to do here,
arise.
You’ll fill me with smoke,
camouflage my words like it’s your purpose,
and try to remove me from view.
We have larger purpose,
and unorthodox does that
when the norm rejects our larger purpose.
Me and this boy love each other.
We are contributors to time.
We are not imposing on you
a rule to follow.
We just want to be accepted as the natural boundary we are.

Don’t strong arm us
to a bunch of nonsense.
Don’t cut off our heads
to satisfy yourselves
we need to be controlled.
I assure you
you do.
Human evolution is in danger in your hands.
You won’t allow for variation,
but could you let this one through?
Now go back to sleep.
I’ll call yah in the morning.

Can we communicate hate?
I am so in love with you
I’m doin’ all this explain.
Pardon me if I don’t see your divinity see.
The divine in man
is such a secret to unfold,
any way you look at it.
Come on.

19% I appreciate it.
No touch about it.
I didn’t deserve to die.
You kill most of us.
This small percentage you set free.
How did I arrive at this number?
A golden muse told me.
I’m the number that doesn’t hurt children.

Okay you ready for me?
I don’t think you know how many pedophiles there are.
It’s not openly admitted,
but there are more of us than meets the sky.
We are millions.
You want to know how to handle us.
Give us gatekeepers,
a spokesperson or two
on the pedophile's side but not a molesting pedophile.

Do I have the strength?
I’m your attitude:
don’t shut the hell up
until the world is saved!
You know those climate keepers do that,
but they’re not seein’ the problem:
we have to be human with one another.
We can’t treat anyone like dirt.
They get down and dirty.

Now let’s wipe pedophiles off your list
as the hate receptacle for mankind.
Molest that child!
And we hear your hate.
Dehumanize no one,
and humanity comes to each of us
as this spreads through society
the way we treat people.

you had dreams like you were full of shit.
What’s happenin’?
This is just dealing with his Belfast.
This is not a time measurement.
It makes it so much more pertinent
to what I’m showin’ you now.
Why would you think this is a confession?
I haven’t always been a good pedophile,
and I really feel that.

Now can we deal with today?
I can communicate for you
the utter necessity of having children
and keeping them safe and warm
from our energies.
You just baby children,
but that’s beside the point.
I’m not gonna put this out there
to be this little sheep begging for mercy.
You’d go wild.
And we’d kill you.
I’m going to be as big as time.
They had an apartment store.
They had an apartment.
We shine a light on everybody.
To your places everyone,
and here you’re accepting ours.

Purple Guns Waving in My Hair

Sit Bruno.
Sit media.
People are searching.
The official account sucks,
and all the fringe theories comply.
There you are with question tape.
Are you a fringe theorist too,
no different than all the rest?

You’re media worthy.
No one can deny that.
You’re not a division conspiracy.
You promote unity.
You give answers to burning questions
in the literature of true mysticism.
There is no fake in your account.
You weigh on things,
go deep into matters,
expose the core.
That’s not valueless.

If you’re gonna trust someone,
tell me why that wouldn’t be you?
You know how to speak the truth.
You just protect yourself.
You will land a lot of votes one day.
Big deal you say.
You’re in the thick of it now,
feeling like a fool.

I don’t want any of those kitchen parts.
I elevate mass shooting to lie.
We hear from the conspiracy keepers.
I think the mainstream media has a fact sheet,
and they got it all wrong.
It’s not individuals with guns;
it’s the whole damn society,
and we listen to man.
We listen to man explains.

Honey a higher power called.
It’s on alert.
That poet explains.
He was a link sunk because he was honorable to my heart.
Trapped in this animal explains.
This is not a localized crime.
A thief in the night has come.
He’s carried away your children
in body bags.
Now let’s control this demon.

You think it’s a hack job,
some guy alone in his underwear
just does everybody in.
We can’t lift our feet from this.
It is so in our face.
What do we do about it?
Study the phenomenon in aftermath.
We look at individual responsibility and gun ownership.
No one sees the ticket.
It’s a hate crime.

Hate is all over the place.
It’s gotten in our underwear.
We pick it up and shoot people with it.
Hate kills.
Hate is ever present among us.
It’s difficult to follow.
Bang! Bang! Bang!

That has come from an inner leaping.
We share consciousness in shares.
Ideas and memes flow between us
and the feelings we all share.
Pick up that gun and shoot it,
this is inner wear.
A thought has come
from the crowd.
It’s packaged hate.
Everybody’s doing it.
The inside thought process,
people hate each other.

Now this is the remote.
The lone gunman’s a brand.
He has all the right equipment
to pick up our hate and kill the crowd.
He was raised that way.
This happens everyday
it’s so big.
A suicide vest determines it
in other countries,
or a car murder weapon,
a knife or an axe.
It’s the same phenomenon.
We all do it.

Why?
We’ve picked up the virus:
we’re hating each other in our thoughts,
and we imagine violence,
play that in our mind.
Don’t call it a mass shooting.
We handle our brains,
punching people,
tellin’ them off.

Imagining more calamities
an exercise.
Well just do your neighbor in
if he offends you.
We box his ears;
we just send her packing,
all in a mind’s eye.
And there it goes,
straight to that rifle,
and a lone gunman
branded, look:
he carries everybody’s hate.

How do we profit from this?
Let’s go back to rooster crowing at dawn.
You just put down that gun,
that rifle,
give good imaginings to people
in your feeling thoughts.
I know what you’re saying.
I can’t get it in.

There’s a whistleblower.
It’s this specific hate you feel in a crowd.
Somebody’s hurt you
or your family,
or you see them on the world stage doing that.
They’ve done wrong and need to be punished,
even if it’s just offended you
by calling you names
or putting you down,
undermining your position.
You want them to pay for what they have done.

Can we see this is epidemic now?
Oh yeah,
cancel everything
to do with gun control.
It’s a family weapon.
We need it to shoot intruders,
protect ourselves from the vice.
We won’t let you in.
We imagine horrible things
in any commotion you make.
We use guns in our minds
to straighten people out.
Are you a gun owner?
Ever done that:
they just need to be shot?

Is that a meme?
It’s comin’ tomorrow
we control our guns
much better than we do now.
A daily gun,
systemic hate,
we take this around and show it to people,
all over the place.
We unfold as humans,
learn more about our stuff,
the inner side of relations,
and become more kind to everyone,
where it really counts,
in our minds.

I’m yesterday.
Nobody knows it’s there,
but I have to tell you about it anyway
and be not listened to.
Ladies and gentlemen,
it’s got our progress,
the poetry I share online.
You’re dismissed.
You hear the voices, don’t you?

I Dress That Link

I open up my face in Brahman.
Something happened.
Death lives on in each of us.
Transient houses you made us feel.
Can we all surrender to hatred?
To relations with each other
I bring the death penalty;
I’ve packaged everything—
we hear death talkin’.
Now will you please listen?
Give this say to an individual,
not a group of any nation or purpose,
some wisdom on control.

Absolutely
parallel balance,
that’s the frame I put this in,
on the level.
Hey,
you alright?
I just put love in enemy territory.
Will I make it out of here alive?
You tell me.
My God that’s balance,
and let’s score you again
just too worth it.

And nobody walks me huh?
It’s crazy but
I go all out with this one,
and your attitudes about how social change comes about,
the best advice.
I put my peril down
and tell you the safe, wholesome fight for everyone.
You will kill me here I know,
if you break truth with me,
of course.

He tore down his statue of self-defense and said one big one today,
Smile Records.
All I want from poetry is my two front teeth.
We don’t need a bully.
The safest place for me to be is away from you.
I’m volunteering at your stacked deck
straight ahead.
Unbelievable.
Do me a favor,
I’m telling you
don’t press defcon 4.
We’re at the Geneva Convention.

It’s so shallow
if I even make it this far.
I want your hands off hate.
We’ve got to get down into the bowels of society to do that.
That’s why I’m chargin’ bulls
wearin’ red.
I’m down to this science,
and you’re in the war room.
You know what he give me?
Imaginations control,
nobody harm one another in their thoughts.
Can you see that in your mind?

This is hot stuff.
This is how we pay for peace
Emily.
Do a father to father talk about peace with Emily.
Her underwear got crowded out
by someone in her neighborhood
when she was seven or eight.
The backlist sells cookies so much slower.
She looks blind, hyperactive.
Identify that culprit with me.
No, identify with the culprit.
I’ve just spoken the secret formula that will save the world.
I’ve just spoken huge change.

You have my record.
It was a peace mission.
You’re just the Alamo.
Behind you,
that’s not a peacemaker.
Someone in the vestibules
throwing us all to evil.
They even have a financial access.
Hide and seek
the world demon.
And pray you don’t see him.
It’s a calamity.
Donny, filter.

Read the endless pages.
I’ll have the affordable print tomorrow.
I just copy movies.
I don’t have a thing to say that flowers
a reader’s turnover.
I don’t get published in the sky.
I just sit in my room and write
long letters to humanity.

I’m a shrill voice.
I run the gauntlet of change.
I slip and slide all the time
all over your meaning’s worth.
I Excalibur this now,
put it in a format for you to use/see. [words spoken simultaneously]

Do me a favor,
huddle up.
We’ve got no other choice.
I think the Griffins and the McCoys said that.
Did I just say enemies should speak to each other?
Without contempt.

I’m a Jew you know that.
Don’t hate me for it.
I’m a rightwing political bureau.
I think we would even charity you.
Do suicide
and pull down your pants a pedophile;
can you find anyone that doesn’t want you dead
or not allowed to breathe?

This is poetry central,
giving time a voice
so it can move us away from destruction and decay,
so it can bring meaning into our lives,
give sense to things,
and it can get bigger than all that
be there for us.
It can evolve time.

That’s the secret to noon.
We are not worthy of its hour.
We can’t get out of our sleeping beds.
The world is on fire,
and everybody thinks it’s as plain as day:
horse rider you started it,
you comin’
from a land seize,
or the hideous government,
or a cooperation bring us to our knees.

We’re to blame for the execution,
all of us,
each one of us.
You hear that?
You’re on it all the time.
A government oppresses its people,
and nobody sees the people themselves flavor it.
Take the litmus test.
Who supplies them with the labor
to enforce and to punish and to obey?
The numbers wanting free,
that’s not big enough to form a majority, is it?
And even they oppress
the numbers wanting to obey.
Do we call them traitors?

Let’s click on you.
You would not accept my submission, would yah?
I don’t even think you’d understand it.
Pop goes the weasel.
Another one bites the dust. [heard sung by Queen, line names song]
Oh the poems I’ve wasted on you.

Can I get at this singular event,
I get taken in by somebody
a poet speaking?
I’m still dawn on social approval.
Can we get at being human?
This poem’s for you,
a higher source for love,
even when you’ve exposed yourself on TV.
So filled our cabinet and left.
I’m a garbage bag.
I take only a minute to throw away,
but take a minute and look.
I’m sculptured,
rounded to your looks on things.

You know what you told me when you were a child,
sooner or later—
thank you for the Pepto-Bismol,
so I can start with you
just knock on the door and tell ‘em you’re hungry dammit,
for the zest of life,
more than someone who sucks their thumb;
I need to know I’m safe, okay?
I’m this contradiction in terms—
that kid.

This is the draw-sight for human beings:
love everybody’s neighbor,
love and support.
Crazy kid,
he loves a pedophile.
We give it much more than it came from,
call it much more than it is:
I love you too honey child.

You hear us now.
We are not strangers on earth.
We carry the world in the litany of our smile.
That’s 12 o’clock high.
That’s our love song.
Is that child safe with me?
We bring the world together.

Do you wanna make climate?
It worked for our team so much.
Film this great, narrow, stone bed.
To put them in the mall?
Pathway.
I’ll have a Rottweiler to try to stay down there
to put you in touch with time.
She just makes everything so real.
She's down there right now,
a love angle.

Can we calamity this?
That’s the nature of this paper,
the spirit of love.
And I’ve just waved a red flag under your nose.
Control yourself, will yah?
I’m not asking you to accept pain to a child
or harm done to him.
I think I’ve reached into your hate basket and pulled out the biggest one:
you can’t put these two together
and make a story out of love.

Self-defense mechanisms aside,
that’s how I define the world:
and he’s safe with me.
Now let’s look at your self-doubts.
Is he safe with you?
Will you kill him because you’ve seen him on this page
close to someone who loves boys?
Is this to make you feel safe?

Look,
let’s give everybody some room to breathe.
Mighty this one;
imagine this one—
I have a missed call:
no,
it’s not a hateful love.
It’s right on time:
for all the world to see.

I Can Touch His Own Feeling

A poem by Donny Lee Duke

Yes of course you can go beyond man.
I felt the house alone.
I stood there on a bridge of time,
not expecting outcomes.
I just saw reality.
It was frozen bare,
and it challenged me to think
surpassing thought.
I was alone in the room,
and even Nitish was there
and my beloved dogs.
I heaved,
approaching the Silence.
It was an illusive prey.
Infinity stole my mind.
It grabbed me by the Silence.

I was a good day.
I cooked lunch,
did my duties
and took care of the people around me.
They were fighting their own battles
and needed my help.
I stood there and be a friend.
I listened to myself
giving them what they need.
I was withdrawing from time.
I stared at the gates of forever.
It orange glowed.

I gathered myself.
I didn’t have any pockets.
Things were to me on the shelf.
I craved no vital indulgence.
I was tired of the play.
Relaxing it was just to stop my thoughts.
It stood upon a verge of time
unaccompanied by time.
I was in that place where God was
the spectator in the room.
Sri Aurobindo held my hand.
The Mother surrounded me.

I loved myself,
faults and all,
but I was in transit from the center of the room.
I was beginning to smile.
I was beginning to hold water,
reacting less to things around me,
but still a reaction bore.
It was a principled state
that divined the reality of others to themselves.
I felt them Self with me.
I felt them safe with me
reacting less and less.
The world was a communiqué and a sound.

Still I was hated
in Auroville
and by the yoga.
No one looked at me
with kind eyes.
I understood and did not hate in return.
I continued to send them postcards:
help me
undo being this outcast among you.
It fell on deaf ears.
I was pariah.
Hello?

Great big bold thoughts,
when they looked at me,
gave them pause to think
for one second.
That’s it.
No one would talk to me,
except to brush me off.
I realized the condition of man.
We are animals in nearness to each other,
even when we have our high ideals
and so many rhymes to sing.
When you’re an outcast you see that.

We are stuck in our ways,
and change is a four-letter word
when you hit that most basic stuff,
someone’s morality,
their motherland,
their lens with which they view the world.
Can you tell me what changes minds,
open hearts
to what they are closed to?
What a position I’m in to learn that.

Our race is doomed,
and the divine has chosen the wrong race to foster.
Change is incremental and slow,
if it happens at all.
But then I look in my own eyes
and see what’s happening with me.
Oh my God we have a chance.
Oh my God we have a chance.
How do you fill in light?
How do you bring change into the room?
You bring change into the room.
It won’t come any other way.
Okay children?

The Waking of Pontius Pilate

A poem by Donny Lee Duke

Read the stories around the area.
Read Mcdowell Christian’s story where he says he’s gay.
He’s been made a knight of honor
by the press.
Even Anglican bishops compromise over him.
No way
you’re gonna laugh his book to death.
You’ll make him the star of the show.
Oh my God his struggle brings you to tears—
the narrow-minded people along his way.

Woke agenda,
this is the story today
in our Liverpool.
Good God almighty great balls of fire, [heard sung]
everybody’s mean, you know it?
I think you’re too woke to see this:
how you have to have some disadvantaged marginalized people to kick around.

It’s not sufferin’ you’re lookin’ at.
You’re lookin’ at what’s easy to look at.
You won’t even look at the pedophile
except to hate his name in public.
It’s socially acceptable to kick him around,
enjoy watching him killed.
Can you say the word spaz?
How sensitive to people’s pain you think you’ve become,
those of you writing words out of our lexicon.

Wait a second,
will you throw me a line?
I’m writing the poetry of the world and nobody reads me,
and I am more outcast than Noah.
I sit in my house and write these poems to the world,
and all you read is the scarlet letter P,
and my poems do not get passed around.
I’m just a dirty creature with fangs.

Come out, come out, wherever you are
the woke person truly there.
Feel my pain.
My whole family’s disowned me,
those blood ties you celebrate so much.
It’s not a real joint.
I’m not even allowed to be alive
if you study the fine print in the news.

Now let’s talk about miracles.
I’m not a monster you know.
I’m so bright and shiny it’s not even funny,
and here I am talking to you.
Where is the thought police?
Why hasn’t cancel culture canceled me?
Years I’ve been on the road
a social media page.
Come on let’s get real.
I show you what woke really means, don’t I?

And I’m not talkin’ about racial politics,
sexual identities,
and all that jazz.
Do you see reality or the agenda you wear?
Do you even remember your dreams?
I’m a laughing stock.
I’ve seen reality outside of the cave,
and I know more than shadows
along the wall.

I’ll tell yah about a story
about yourself.
Football yourself,
Mr. Davis,
all in love with divinity. [heard sung]
Television ran out.
A hillbilly question:
is God really the nature of the universe?
Taste the Sugar.
You want it now.
You are the Sugar you see.

Mode of vehicle does not determine birth.
Identity politics,
where is this vision free?
What’s your contribution?
Is it for the whole race?
You have marginalized me to the nth degree,
and I sing your song.
I am all about your meaning.

I have a question.
What do they call
a bit more
than the alphabet among us?
Poetry it’s been explained to you changes the world
or at least has impact.
When they’re not supposed to be there,
we’ve become so blind,
poems come to open our inner sense,
and now you’re reading mine.
Will you allow me in my meditative friend?

The seated with identified and hate
confuse multiple speakers.
We think we got a land problem.
They just don’t know the story from inside.
We let it in
all these ill wills not ours,
a big bad packaged hate.
It has moved us from afar.
I know what to do.
Let’s kill all these people.
And we do.

There it is the ugly truth of the matter
fired upon the scene.
You think it’s American.
How little countries move among you,
as if our consciousness is organized by political boundaries.
That’s the joke:
you are a nationalistic speaker.
You are so much more than that.
Humanity is everyone.
Now I think that’s got a ride,
the joy of being human.

Our consciousness is all over the place.
You see it in your smile.
We are so much more than hate.
We are bigger than the stars.
You ever seen this in your living room?
We’ve got every welfare at heart.
We genuinely do care about one another.
That’s that process of soul.
It’s what we’re here to study.
That’s what brings us to God,
but don’t forget
it’s a cruise ship,
and every human being’s on board,
and that’s just the human side.
We care about animals.
Oh the soul they watch too
you see.

The Pupil and His Divine, a Harmony in Five Measures – 5

Sri Aurobindo and me

Flexibility’s Good Practice

[Although formatted to fit your screen, the poem was originally written in 2014. It’s in the form of a dialogue with multiple speakers: the poet, his divine, various people in the audience, including children, and even a hostile being. Paying attention to punctuation and listening to the poem read, the voices dramatized, play key roles in interpreting it.]

I see my result in the image of tomorrow,
sacrifices for these guys,
sacrifices for children made.
I see a little ahead of us now.
Oh my God,
an image I see,
the sound and the fury of a group called
a rigid belief system.
They deny my answer.
It gains ground instead.

Be useful with my hair.
That’s why I got an office.
Most of the new modem here is for this:
yoga transitions wrong.
It doesn’t recognize itself when the change occurs.
Yoga’s a half light,
an image to see.
It’s necessary.
Yoga at least fields the answer.
Union becomes possible.

A new light on yoga,
a new inspiration on yoga:
flexibility.
Can you come back in about fifteen minutes?
They ask my choice.
Your native place, your country?
American dream.
I hope for your sake as well
it lasts the dream.
Now, the politics has religion.
Doves, a page for arms spending.
It’s a powerful dove now.
I hold you open to everyone.
You don’t know the religion of the Spirit
Mr. Fundamentalist.

American box office,
you’ll allow it
a ten minute jury.
It’s open.
You want a letter hold it down.
Art has business
in imaging ideas.
A new idea
is what we’re looking for.

We’ve got an opening in pictures.
I superstorm that’s fine.
While we’re ahead,
let’s crack divinity’s TV.
It is an image in a notebook
that you write while you’re asleep.
It has what you need.

I’m awareness of God.
You can’t buy that in a bookstore,
nor paint it on a friend.
It’s a personal journey.
I’ll be going down
to the bare minimum.
From there I hope to image this story.
Tagging the program
in the front of my house.

Daddy?
What sweetheart?
Put your finger on us.
Ah ha, that touched my hand.
We’re neighbors you see.
Thought will
go public.

If I understand your meaning right
poetry thinker,
we are a collective body.
That’s our building process
yes.
We can image out thought a new reality.
We could do that
instead of who we hate.

Coconut in my big ouch here,
the rumors of war hate fashioned.
We create its dream,
annihilation.
These are primitive seekers,
but we must understand them.
They need to know they’re safe.
Their belief system is their protection
against immensity.

We hear them regard.
We guard our forefather’s knowledge.
We hope to gain by its creed what our forefathers lost,
the right way to live.
We are a ship at anchor in an empty port.
We image reality
by what we see.
There has no greater value
a living scene.
It is solid fact not symbol wrought,
and God in his heaven sits the same.

We image a pupil
who doesn’t listen.
I kinda knew that in the morning.
I stopped vision.
It was drowned by the world.
Hey man what happened?
If you don’t finish it tomorrow…
I put a poem where God lived in me.
The solid confines of matter’s image
can so easily
hide the Unseen from view.

Is there a land bridge here?
I’m happy to see one,
it’s my son,
my little girl.
If I could put their ship in the water on just the right course,
they’ll put together this image
and pilgrim our voyage.
It’s a hope for tomorrow for a future today.
These are my children.
I give them right of way.
I think we image our house here.
It’s got healing window
all our fans said.
I’m okay.
Don’t worry about me.
Just do your homework:
know what to believe.

I’m not surprised.
Here was fine.
We leave our souls numbered on.
This was a glad space in a bright heart,
charity’s donation.
Down there,
infinity held sway.

He organized his room.
What we put?
What we do?
He made soldiers on stacks of bibles
and passed them out to the world.
He cleaned the inside of things,
rejecting old business.
He heard his Stranger call
and wrote it down.
He aloned to himself,
coming into contact with his own world.
His speech betrayed not the things he saw.
He flashed a light of kindness in his arm’s reach.
It was a banquet now.

What did you catch one of those twenty-four hour things?
This was no question posed by the night.
You gathered a liver to your hero.
If it lasts,
it survives.
Your guarantee for the future.
Can we come in from the cold now?
Okay UK say okay.

His private door gave lesson.
This was no ordinary show.
Seventh Avenue,
they looked in on him,
but Sri Aurobindo figured the ticket
and granted this place:
you’re an overmental movement
you understand;
take it easy,
Supermind’s there
standing ground.
Higher than the moon
who put their soul?

He hoped in dream’s pocket.
It was a large measure.
His house they used him
and looked not within.
This was his point of friction with the world.
Constant assault the children were.
He had anger
that he could not hide.
We draw him before
that station-house settled.

Good work,
you have to play on it.
We opposite a six.
Is that good measure?
It’s the right issue today.
What I was tested’s the fact
(come daddy)
I can be a father,
whether or not it works.
What’s yoga?
You have to believe it works.
There,
I’ve said your damn lesson.
Now image reality,
a top of the head see.
Do you get my copycat?
Individually.

I’m not sitting next to wrong.
I’m sitting next to you.
Can we habitat this truth?
Man, this is our dwelling place.
It has to do with a song.
It only hits you,
you open your eyes.
The Spirit is alive in matter,
and the Spirit stays.
Matter is his habitat but not his standing ground.

Daddy, can I have a digital watch
that tells the time
eternally?
Here we pause for a word from our sponsor:
the world removes sickness
your body
will be an eternal image;
homeopathic made cure.

A substantiality review,
measure that in heartbeats.
May you grow bigger than yourself.

So many passengers,
they don’t want a heart strong.
It will have to be something that we do together.
Individuals prepare the field.
You’ll have a rough time sitting there
absorbed in your television set
three dimensional.
The hat’s
just a protection
from getting lost in the movie.
Crown chakra,
you gotta wear it.
Do I make myself clear or not?

Daddy?
Can I sleep in your bed tonight?
Okay.
Now do you believe me?
I will challenge you in the deepest part of your laugh.
Hello my associate
you don’t usually say.
Head bothering you?
I have said a window
opportunity set up.
You’re staring at the wall.
You’d have to see beyond it
to understand what I said.

Really?
It would mean
an integral yoga.
Even the masters
couldn’t gather these clothes.
They just never put ‘em on.
You’ll have to step out even,
emptiness said.
Catch my airplane winnebago?
The Spirit is free
in all this
stuff.

I had trouble with that one.
Fix your feet high.
That’s an asana everybody has trouble with.
Keep practicing.
Yoga will work.

Throw a leg over this movie:
moksha reborn
here in the world.
You’d have to catch the plane,
give it your understanding.
The body is carved by it in silence,
listening.
To be totally honest I walked to it
one box at a time.
It was the heart that provided the key.
Once it knew
it was on its way,
the change arrived.

Donny I,
listen to you.
So you don’t have to worry.
That was decent.
That was not about arguing.
Arguing,
it showed me something.
The mind, the heart, the body all integrated,
people solved.

Definitely another subject
(I don’t think so)
the soul is their point of order.
Fits right here.
We begin with an understanding
opening the top of the head
or the heart window
imaging soul.
They will solve each other
if we bring them together right.

I’d like to show you something.
We play music
one measure at a time.
This airs out the difficulty
integration brings.
I’m, I’m good,
unmolested.
This is a substantiality review.
Hear this music?
Boy hears it now.
The public awhile.
Execute this thing.
That’ll take it
off the ground.

We open our opera,
a whole like twenty-eight pages.
One crying.
What’s a matter sweetheart?
Daddy I don’t want to leave you.
We’ll have to have faith
the Mother said.
She’s the one holding it together,
our family arrangement.

I have these children.
Remove the cover.
What do you see?
You’re their daddy.
Touched it,
the front of it.
Funny,
that really appealed to me.
I lesson in longevity.
Where do you put your scorecard?
There’s really a house.
I want to print it out:
my children
are lessons in love.
You don’t want to mess with them.
I give you
clean house.

A story’s been told
infinity sings.
We nowhere near mirror
the calm flexibility that
we in our divinity will show,
as we stand transformed,
not just stuck on the rafters.

Where will this evolve?
It’s in our daily room,
where we spend our lives holding cares.
Is my rifle here?
What dense energy is that?
It’s what shoots answers,
will not let us see the way out.
Go ask people,
and they figure it out:
if we do get up there,
anything, anything at all,
I have to do it,
I’ve got to get my courage out.
I’m about the idea change.

A body without a beard,
without one iota of fashion together wrong,
if I’m rewriting I’m writing to version fad.
I’m shouting your opinion.
Think that rewrite’s bad?
Flexibility’s good practice.
We are so swayed by our opinions.
Well man,
your opinion,
no matter how sharpened,
might be more narrow than life.

Can you average that?
Bout time you come in.
It’s actually better
to let the truth unfold
instead of proclaiming it.
We evolve here.
You have my answer.
Now that’s actually what it is,
truth evolving.
You’re welcome.

I’m available
across the railroad tracks.
It’s where you see disease.
I’m not that far.
Look how close I am to you,
in your intimacy kitchen,
your bathing and sleeping with
your own concerns.
Where is the line crossed?
Stew there.
Now call for intimacy with me.

What makes you so mad?
I would ask for an associate’s degree.
How many times does justice hate?
Would it be that that hate’s carried over from someplace else,
a little road in you?
It’s not there whispers hate.
We’re not talking
out in the open –
subconscious.
You have ways to avoid that stuff.

What drew these lines?
Hear so many cross.
It’s not a perfect world for me anymore.
Doesn’t have to go.
Trying to tell a river.
We’d open
our eyes and see it.
Then what’s the story?
We can be clean.
I don’t think so.
It’s not that easy.
Oh come on,
top notch of this group,
who knows it?
But tell me,
did you name to the air conditioner five minutes,
just one time?

You make me worry.
Let’s guilt them and them.
Wow, you have society’s hold up here.
Cultural morality
do any justice?
By hidden cost:
we are not permitted to evolve.

Where does the dust settle?
I’m fighting your window,
and it doesn’t open.
Okay, this and with hate:
very shot behind.
Now touch those teeth together,
and we’ve spoken aloud.
I had to get my stuff out of the way
so you got yours.
Hey man this thing’s got director over me.
Could be a wonderful person.
You can change.
I’m tryin’ to get you off the ground.
It’s not better
if said person doesn’t come to see you again.
That touch blisters along.
Somebody
can help
like who would’ve thought it.
Come on, heart walk strong.
On your way too.

All from eyes
they’ll have knowledge back.
Give them muscle on clean,
what I give clean.
Lemmie get this straight:
wounding sword heals?
Over the end that’s burned.

Good morning,
in our little house
thoughtful matter.
Count how many times the Word gets used.
The average person is comin’ round.
That’s a New York
giving a better New York.
That’s your higher count.

I’ve given you right music,
the corrected story.
It leads up to American
(oh I got here),
the American dream.
Find that equipped
once we get electricity.
We’d save the energy
where our body’s the worst fade:
each other.

Simple:
we evolve.
Not in here
some rafter said.
Before we close the door
to bodily existence,
we would have made divine matter’s robe.
We would be together by the way.
Think about it.
Evolution, remember?

Decide to get to home plate –
to move and get the temple.
Why are you there?
It can be held again.
It can be found.

I found my soul.
Boys safe –
I feel sorrow.
Get your wrong TV tuned folks –
get God on your plate.
I’m tryin’ to slide you an angle on the classical guitar,
once it got posted,
the body’s freedom.
I’m measuring an ambush this morning –
I’m listening.

You can’t do it marshal,
shoot me in front of God and everybody.
(Make sure Nancy’s resistance is in the place that she wants;
she may resist letting go.)
Related visions,
I keep reading the title of our narrative.
But Bob misses,
play hide and seek.
That’s a camera
charged with think tank.

Eat eggs,
follow the list of the dawn.
Now that you’ve come up with,
you’re the unbelievable:
against evolution.
Albert Einstein the very next day is pointed out as saying:
a special case with special officers,
they couldn’t track it down,
a locked up.
I rank in it,
well self-giving lists.
The world is watching.
Splash!
A pedophile
makes its sense.
